Sierra Leone 06 | Thousands respond on first visit
15 April 2006
More than 20,000 people responded to the Gospel appeal given by Evangelist Nathan Morris as Shake The Nations Ministries made its first visit to Sierra Leone in April 2006.
The blind saw, the deaf heard, tumours vanished and cripples began to throw away their crutches and make their first steps in years. Evil spirits fled, the fire of God changed lives, and thousands were daily added to the Kingdom of Heaven as the powerful gospel was preached.
Campaigns were held in the towns of Kenema, Bo and the capital city Freetown, and in a matter of days each area was transformed by the power of God. Villages known for their Muslim beliefs began to worship Jesus, and despite opposition from witchdoctors and demonic forces, Jesus Christ showed He is the only one worthy of praise.
The campaigns were advertised on radio, and banners and posters were plastered across the villages urging people to attend and claim their healing and freedom. Hundreds crammed into the streets to meet Evangelist Nathan and his team as they were paraded through the town centres as part of the publicity campaign.
