India 09 | Mass salvation despite threats

Radical extremists tried to stop a Gospel campaign held by Shake The Nations, which saw hundreds of Hindus turn to Christianity.
The radicals complained to local police officials and tried to shut down the campaign in Sulur, Tamil Nadu, whilst there were reports they attended one night of the meeting armed with knives.
But despite the threats, Evangelist Nathan Morris said he and his team witnessed incredible miracles, whilst many Hindus responded to the Gospel and gave their lives to Christ.

Nathan, said, ‘There were times of opposition, more so than we have ever faced in India, but the message of Jesus Christ is the very power of God! As we preached about Christ, we saw many come and become Christians, whilst there were many healings.
‘As we were told of the problems and concerns, we felt the peace and joy of the Lord and just did what we always do – preach the Gospel! This was truly a remarkable move of God, and we give God all the thanks for the amazing things that he did on that field.
‘When we preached the Gospel, we saw many Hindus respond, renounce their gods and declare that they wanted to follow Jesus. What a great privilege.’

There were many miracles of healing, including:

*A man with kidney failure couldn’t stand for more than two minutes. But after walking onto the crusade field, he stood for the full meeting and declared the illness had gone. He returned the following night, pain free.

*A young boy partially blind declared he could see. When we tested it on the platform, the crowd began to praise God as he read from the Word of God.
