Kenya 07 | Second church built as revival continues
28 November 2007
A second church was birthed as Shake The Nations Ministries continued to witness a miraculous outpouring of God’s Spirit in Busia, West Kenya.
Between 8,000 and 10,000 filled the altars and vowed to follow Christ during the five-night campaign, while the miracle testimonies amazed the crowd after Evangelist Nathan and associate John Wilkinson preached.
Host pastor Gerald Okoth said the area had been ‘totally transformed’ during the two crusades.
He added, ‘I am so thankful to God for what he has done. We now have two churches planted, and God has changed this area. The local village chief said that children throughout all generations will hear of this crusade, and that it will be taught in schools about the time when the living God came to their tribe.
‘I pray that these testimonies will be remembered. The lame man is walking without support and many are still testifying of what the Lord has done. I thank God for the ministry of Shake The Nations.’
24-year-old Benard Odanga came to the crusades on crutches. He had been lame for six years and had to crawl without aid. But the power of God touched his body, and by the fourth night, he walked across the pulpit.
A 70-year-old man and a young woman were both partially blind, but declared they could see, while deaf and dumb children amazed the crowd after God enabled them to hear and speak for the first time.
A young man, Ojiambo George, had suffered from stammering for 20 years. But after prayer, he could fluently speak. The crowd went wild as he remarkably shared his testimony down the microphone.
Arthritis, blood conditions, epilepsy, kidney disorders and countless other diseases were healed by the power of God.
Also at the campaign, there were great testimonies of deliverance, with the power of the Holy Spirit destroying ancient curses. There were unusual manifestations of God’s power, with large amounts of people violently shaking and falling to the ground as the fire of God changed their lives.
