Sierra Leone 06 One By One | Food multiplies in Africa

Sierra Leone 06 One By One | Food multiplies in AfricaMiracles of Biblical proportion took place as Shake The Nations One By One made its first visit to Sierra Leone in 2006.
Team members said remarkable miracles took place, including the multiplication of food.
After preaching about the Biblical story where Jesus feeds 5,000 people, co-ordinator Becky Murray’s faith was soon put to the test the following day, when she visited a centre with 75 residents with only enough food to feed 50 people.

She said, ‘As we arrived at the centre (an old bus station now used to house amputees that were left homeless after the civil war) we learned that God has a sense of humour.
‘We prayed over the food while giving out generous platefuls and trusting that God would somehow multiply the food. And praise God He did! Every person in the centre was miraculously fed, and there were still lots of rice left over, which we poured into a washing bowl to give to a family who lived in the old bus station.’
Incredibly, a repeat of the miracle took palce the following day – this time on a larger scale.
Becky added, ‘We went to a children’s centre and again had enough food to feed 50. But when we got there, there were more than 200 hungry children. We’d seen God double the food the previous day, but would He quadruple it?!
‘Again we prayed over the food and began serving generous portions. On three occasions the African helpers told us we were making the portions too big, and that there wouldn’t be enough food to feed all the children. We told them to carry on giving out large portions, as we know our God is the God of abundance.
‘That day we saw the miracle working power of our loving Father once again, as every single child ate and there were three plates left over. What an awesome God we serve!’
Also during the campaign, One By One visited orphanages and disabled centres in the towns of Kenema and Bo.
