Tanzania 08 One By One | Widows and orphans impacted
17 September 2008
Orphans and widows were impacted by the Gospel as Shake The Nations One By One made its first visit to Tanzania in September 2008.
Preaching in the city of Dar Es Salaam, one of the highlights was when 30 Muslim orphans gave their lives to Christ following a feeding programme. The team ministered the love of God to the beautiful children, and saw some of them healed of stomach pains and various skin problems.
Meanwhile, in a meeting organised for widows – also in Dar Es Salaam - many lives were impacted by the presence of God. One woman was healed of partial blindness, and another saw a tumour disappear. The team then fed and clothed these precious women, who were surprised at the generous gifts they were being given.
The third outreach during the mission was to work amongst the orphans in Kibaha, a town 30km outside Dar Es Salaam. There were approximately 120 children at this outreach, and the majority of them responded to the Gospel to give their lives to Christ. Each orphan was then fed and given a school book and pen to help with their studies.
