JANUARY 2026

Let Go and Let God

“Forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead.” Philippians 3:13

Can you believe it?! A New Year is here! 2026 has arrived, and it is truly a year of new beginnings. The prophet Isaiah proclaims in Isaiah 43:18–19, “Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?”

As we step into a new year, it’s important to ask ourselves: what am I still carrying from last year that I was never meant to bring with me? It may be an offense, an injustice, a mistake, a financial loss, or a deep disappointment. Whatever it is, if it no longer serves God’s purpose and calling for your life, it’s time to release it. The beginning of a new year is an invitation to take an honest inventory. What has you looking backward instead of forward? What keeps you talking about former things, replaying old wounds, or staring into the rearview mirror? These distractions can quietly steal your focus and prevent you from seeing what God is doing right in front of you.

God is always at work in the present, and He is calling you forward. To embrace the new, you must be willing to let go of the old. This is the season to release what weighs you down and trust God with what lies ahead. It’s time to let go and let God. Let Him heal what hurts. Let Him redeem what was lost. Let Him write a new beginning for you in this new year.

May the Holy Spirit fill you with faith and hope for all that lies ahead and all that is in store for your future. It is time to dust off the debris of yesterday, lay aside every burden, and step forward by faith into a new season today. Now is the time to move forward, carrying hope and promise, believing that your tomorrow will be better than your yesterday.

The Bible declares in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Do you believe that God has great things in store for your life? His plans are far greater than our own. Here at STN, we are declaring a season of new beginnings. May 2026 be a year that exceeds your expectations as the Lord does a new thing in your life. May it spring forth even now!
