Lift Up Your Eyes

"Do you not say, 'There are still four months and then comes the harvest'? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!" — John 4:35 (NKJV)

Jesus spoke these words beside a well in Samaria. His disciples had just returned from town with food, focused on the next meal and the next stretch of the journey. What they did not see was a woman who had just met the Messiah, running back to her village to tell everyone she knew. Within moments, a crowd would be crossing the fields toward them. The harvest was not four months away. It was already walking toward them.

‍

For twenty years, Shake The Nations has watched God bring in a harvest none of us could have produced. Altars have been filled in nations we never imagined standing in. Lives have been changed in open fields, in stadiums, and in quiet one-on-one conversations. Paul tells us exactly how to hold that record, "I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase" (1 Corinthians 3:6).

‍

Every soul reached over these two decades carries many fingerprints. Some preached. Some prayed through the night. Some gave faithfully and unseen, trusting God with fruit they would never personally count. All of them were planters and waterers. Yet the increase has never belonged to any of us. It belongs to Him. That is what makes the harvest a celebration and not a scoreboard. We rejoice together, because none of it was ours to produce.

‍

But Jesus did not tell His disciples to look back. He told them to look up.

‍

The fields are still white. Villages, cities, and nations still stand ready for harvest, and the laborers are few. This month, we carry that urgency in tangible ways. We gather in England for Faithful'26, returning to the land where this journey began, to give thanks for what God has done and to receive fresh fire for what is ahead. The following week, we travel to Peru for a Gospel Campaign, with a prayer team joining us expecting to see a mighty harvest. We also just completed our second Evangelist360 intensive, where we trained, activated, and sent a new company of evangelists. It was powerful. The laborers Jesus told us to pray for are being raised up before our eyes.

‍

That is the rhythm of the harvest. What one generation sows, the next gathers, and those who gather become the ones who sow again.

‍

Where have you been saying "four months more" about someone God has placed in your path?

‍

The field in front of you may not be a crusade ground. It may be a workplace, a neighborhood, or a family table. But it is just as white. Someone near you is closer to Jesus than you realize. The harvest is not four months away. It is already walking toward you. Lift up your eyes!
